Update: Final score - USA 1-0 Costa Rica, match report.
Sup, kids? Tonight, the USMNT takes on Costa Rica in Denver. Ryan is really intoxicated and at the game, so I'm handling things over here for the moment.
If the United States don't take all three points tonight, they'll probably be in some trouble, especially given that Honduras drew Mexico at home today. El Tri are going to start winning at some point, because they have really good players, and four points from two home games against the continent's top teams is great for Honduras. We'll be in a situation where points are needed at Azteca if we don't win tonight. That would be bad.
Here are the lineups:
United States lineup (4-2-3-1): Brad Guzan; DaMarcus Beasley, Clarence Goodson, Omar Gonzalez, Geoff Cameron; Jermaine Jones, Michael Bradley; Herculez Gomez, Clint Dempsey, Graham Zusi; Jozy Altidore
Costa Rica lineup (4-4-1-1): Keylor Navas; Roy Miller, Giancarlo González, Cristian Gamboa, Michael Umaña; Bryan Oviedo, Michael Barrantes, Ariel Rodríguez, Bryan Ruiz; Cristian Bolaños; Alvaro Saborio
Kickoff is at 10:10 p.m. ET, 8:10 p.m. local time from The Dick in Colorado. You can catch the game on ESPN. This is your open thread, so chat away.
