Happy Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Ready to cry? I'm not, but I'm going to end up crying anyway. Tonight, Landon Donovan plays his last match for the United States men's national team, he's going to get subbed off to a standing ovation, and even Jurgen Klinsmann might be happy for him!
Of course, lots of other players are playing as well and Klinsmann probably wants to use at least the second half of this game to evaluate a lot of them. Here are the lineups.
Ecuador: Banguera; Canga, Erazo, Paredes, Ayovi; Castillo, Noboa, Ibarra; Penilla, Valencia, Cazares— FOX Soccer Trax (@FOXSoccerTrax) October 10, 2014
We've got some talking points here, folks! A two-man center of Diskerud and Bedoya sure is interesting, though it's not like Klinsmann had more defensive options. Donovan playing as a second striker makes me wonder who's getting a look in that spot after he goes off. And will you look at that, DeAndre Yedlin as a winger!
Kickoff is just after 7 p.m. ET from Hartford, CT. You can catch the game on ESPN or UniMas, as well as the streaming platforms of both of those networks.
