Fret not diehard United States men's national team fans who love to watch every match no matter the quality of the roster, it appears there will indeed be a January camp in 2016. ESPNFC reports that the USMNT will take on Iceland on January 31 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. After getting close to the middle of December without an announcement, we finally have a hint that it will take place like usual.
The land of Aron Johannsson, who have remarkably qualified for EURO 2016 their first ever major international tournament, will travel to The Golden State to take on the USMNTMLS All-Star B-Team squad that Jurgen Klinsmann chooses.
It should be an interesting roster choice for the U.S. boss considering how many young player in MLS had great seasons and are looking for a call-up. Such names would include Sebastian Lletget, Ethan Finlay, Will Trapp, and so on. The January camp is always a fun time for fans to get a look at new players introduced into the player pool. In this year's camp we were introduced to Gyasi Zardes who went on to appear 19 times for the USMNT this calendar year.
