USMNT, Mexico name 35-man provisional rosters for crucial playoff match

With less than a month remaining before the United States and Mexico square off at the Rose Bowl, they have submitted their 35-man provisional rosters. The all-important playoff match will determine which nation will get a ticket to the 2017 Confederations Cup.

These preliminary rosters are set in stone, meaning the final 23-man rosters will have to consistent of players from these pools. While the U.S. filled all of their 35 slots, Mexico chose to only fill 32.

Neither rosters really present any surprises. All of the usual suspects for both sides were named to the provisional squads. The competition for spots on the final roster will be entertaining to watch over the next few weeks. Here are both sets of players eligible for the final rosters:
