The governing body of the world's most popular sport is finally ready to elect a new leader. Details have finally been released for FIFA's presidential election to be held next month. They released this letter detailing the event and protocols in electing a new president:

The final list of five candidates for the next president of FIFA is:

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein (Jordan)

Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain)

Jerome Champagne (France)

Gianni Infantino (Italy/Switzerland)

The election will take place on February 26 in Zurich, Switzerland. Each of the 209 voting nations will each have an equal vote in the process. The vote will be a secret ballot in compliance with FIFA law.

Infantino, UEFA's current general secretary, is considered the favorite by many as he has already received the backing from UEFA and a block of Central American nations.
