The transfer has been met with some scrutiny as many people don't think it's wise for a young player such as Miazga to trust Chelsea, a club with a reputation of stockpiling prospects, with his development. However, those concerns don't seem to affect the player.
‘I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, a world-famous club with a reputation for major success. I am delighted to be in the Premier League, the best league in the world, and can't wait to meet my team-mates and get going.
‘I am still at the beginning of my career but I believe this is the place to develop and learn from some of the best players in the world.'

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has already said that Miazga will be staying with the club as a squad player instead of going on loan. We'll see how long that lasts...
