The United States men’s national team have fallen to two spots to 24 in the latest FIFA World Rankings after nudging their way up to 22 last month.
Despite two World Cup qualifying wins being the last two official FIFA matches the team has played, a month of friendlies didn’t affect them, but the window passing by some favorable results on the back end has pushed them back while the other top countries had important matches this month.
The USA remain the third highest ranked team in CONCACAF behind Mexico (17) and Costa Rica (18).
The Top 5 saw a big shake-up with Belgium falling two spots from 2nd to 4th, while Argentina remain the top overall ranked team in the world. Germany rise to 2nd and Brazil follow in 3rd.
Weirdly, the latest Elo Rankings also have the USA ranked at No. 24. So, it’s safe to say, they probably deserve that spot.
