USA vs Switzerland friendly: time, TV, and livestream

It’s round two of the new-look USWNT squad vs Switzerland.

Soccer: International Friendly Women's Soccer-Switzerland at USA Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

The United States just took Switzerland for a nice 4-0 romp courtesy of four different goalscorers, two of whom basically scored the moment they went near the ball. The US also capped five new players in the same game while also trying out a new formation with some players out of position, so...your move Switzerland?

Jill Ellis still has a handful of players in camp who didn’t dress for the last game, and she may switch up her 18 with many of them. It would be a real shame for the likes of Dani Colaprico and Kealia Ohai to come into camp, only to sit out both friendlies. Even though there’s plenty of time to see how they do in a real game, the next two WNT friendlies are against Romania, and that’s probably going to be an even more lopsided result than the four goals against Switzerland.

Who knows, perhaps rotating in even more new players combined with another bite at the 3-5-2 will make for an interesting game now that Switzerland kind of knows what to expect. This game will probably see Ellis switch out goalkeepers, giving Ashlyn Harris some time in net, as well as shuffle her midfield and forwards. If Ellis sticks with the 3-5-2, she might also see how Arin Gilliland fares in that formation instead of Casey Short.
