Borussia Dortmund were headed for disaster on Saturday against Ingolstadt until Christian Pulisic came on at halftime and saved their bacon.
Down 2-0 at halftime and looking completely out of sorts, Thomas Tuchel called on the 18-year-old American to make an impact in the second 45 minutes and that’s exactly what he did.
After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang clawed a goal back for the visitors, Ingolstadt scored again to make it 3-1. That’s when the Pulisic magic kicked in. The youngster was credited for an assist on the second Dortmund goal when his (accidental) flick found Adrian Ramos and he finished brilliantly.
There would be no debating his contribution 20 minutes later as stoppage time was ticking down, however. Pulisic crashing the far post was in the right place at the right time to earn his side a point:

It wasn’t the prettiest of goals, but his relentless running ever since coming on finally paid off big time with a huge goal for his club.
It’s his second Bundesliga goal of the season and his fourth of his career. Barcelona are you watching?
He had this to say after his big moment:
