Costa Rica vs. USA, 2018 World Cup Qualifying: Final Player Ratings

The LOL edition

Soccer: 2018 FIFA World Cup Qulafying-Mexico at USA Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

As you’re well aware of by now, the United States men’s national team were handed their second loss in as many matches to begin the CONCACAF Hexagonal by Costa Rica on Tuesday night. It wasn’t very close as the Ticos pretty much dominated from opening whistle to full-time.

Here’s how the community voted as far as player ratings go:

Man of the Match: Christian Pulisic

In a putrid performance, you guys felt that the 18-year-old Christian Pulisic put up the least bad showing on the night. Unfortunately, he didn’t get many chances to show off his superb skill in these two November matches, but he still managed to show glimpses of talent.

Pulisic wasn’t able to muster much in the way of attacking threats, but he did have a few moments of brilliance in the midfield to break pressure and dribble past players. This month wasn’t a great representation of his fantastic future, but he still managed to open some eyes.
