Jozy Altidore is a man possessed right now. Any and everything he touches is currently turning to gold. After he was named to the USMNT’s World Cup qualifying roster to take on Mexico and Costa Rica, he scored this banger in the Eastern conference semifinals against New York City FC to put his side up 3-0 on the night and 5-0 on aggregate:

Ever since coming back from a hamstring injury earlier this season we’ve seen a brand new Jozy Altidore. One who is hungry and motivated for goals and who is feeding his appetite on a regular basis for both club and country.
We can only hope his form and current hot streak lasts just a little bit longer to get the USMNT off to the right start to begin CONCACAF’s final round of World Cup qualifying. The U.S. will need him to be at the top of his game without Clint Dempsey available to them.
