Another American has found net in the Bundesliga this weekend. After Bobby Wood scored his third league goal of the season on Saturday, Alfredo Morales has netted his first of the season for Ingolstadt.
(Apologies for the choppy video. We’ll update when a better one surfaces)
With his side scoreless against Bayer Leverkusen in the first half, the USMNT midfielder rose above everyone in the box to meet a cross with a snap head and the ball flew into the net. A lovely textbook header to give Ingolstadt the lead. It’s his first goal for his club since April when when he tallied against Hannover.
Morales recently stated his intentions to work his way back into the national team picture under new manager Bruce Arena. Goals like this will surely help.
