United States center back Matt Miazga could see his name listed on a Chelsea squad list for the first time on Tuesday when the Blues travel to Paris to take on PSG. Several injuries to key players on the club's back line have them in bind when it comes to center back options.
Kurt Zouma is out for six months with a torn knee ligament. John Terry suffered a minor injury against Newcastle United on the weekend and has been ruled out for the Champions League midweek fixture. This leaves Miazga, Gary Cahill and newly-promoted 18-year-old Jake Clarke-Salter as the only natural center backs on the first team squad with Branislav Ivanovic available to shift over from his right back position.

Miazga has traveled with Chelsea to Paris and could make the bench if things work out in his favor. Blues manager Guus Hiddink has already gone on record as saying that Miazga isn't ready to replace Zouma as the starter, but that doesn't mean he'll be completely ruled out in this time of need.
There's no guarantee Miazga will make the bench against PSG, but with the injuries piling up, his chances have never been better. Once he's on the bench, he's only one decision or injury away from making his Chelsea debut.
