Clint Dempsey has struck for the Seattle Sounders in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal match with Liga MX side Club America. The United States international scored a fantastic free kick just before the halftime break to put the Sounders up 1-0.

Unfortunately the lead did not hold up long as Club America equalized just minutes later. But what an amazing free kick by the USMNT's second all-time leading goal scorer.
