United States goalkeeper Tim Howard is set to miss his club team Everton's next match against Newcastle United today with an undisclosed injury. Howard picked up what is being described as a "knock" in training earlier this week and will miss today's match at Goodison Park.
Despite having to miss this one match, Everton boss Roberto Martinez doesn't seem too concerned about the severity of the injury.
"He had a little bit of a knock in training yesterday. We had a scan and it didn't look too bad but we'll see what the situation is with Tim Howard tomorrow."

The USMNT veteran has been a stalwart for the Toffees for the last nine-plus years. Only this season hasn't exactly gone so smoothly for the 36-year-old. He has seen his fair share of criticism from supporters and the media calling for the younger Joel Robles to take his job.
Reading between the lines of Martinez's statement on the injury, there doesn't seem to be any cause for concern in regards to Howard possibly missing the USMNT's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Guatemala in late March.
