AC Milan reportedly want to sign Julian Green this summer

An interesting suitor for the German-American has emerged

Could Julian Green's club situation finally be about to shift to the better? One famous club is willing to give him a chance.

The rise and subsequent fall of Green is an all too familiar story to United States supporters. After rising up the Bayern Munich ranks as a youngster, he was recruited by Jurgen Klinsmann to come play for the USMNT, lured by 2014 World Cup roster spot. While he made good on that call-up by scoring a goal in his only appearance in the tournament, his luck hasn't been nearly as good since.

He's fallen out of favor with Klinsmann and the USMNT and even was neglected for a time by the USA U-23 team before finally getting back into the picture late in 2015. He's stuck in the reserves for Bayern Munich with no clear path to the first team. However, there appears to be one team ready to hand him a lifeline. According to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, AC Milan are interested in buying the German-American this summer.

Scouts from the Italian giants have been scouting Green and the club is confident it can secure the U.S. international's services for around €1-2 million.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Julian Green's club career, but one thing is certain. He doesn't appear to have much of a future with the Bayern Munich first team. That shouldn't be too surprising to him or anyone else considering the ridiculous amount of talent that the reigning Bundesliga champs boast on their roster.

Sentimentality will need to be thrown out the window for Green, who has been a Bayern Munich fan ever since he was a kid, if he's to have a successful professional soccer career. A change of clubs is desperately needed to move on to the next chapter.
