Brad Guzan's horrible gaffe highlights USA goalkeeper dilemma

Who should start vs. Guatemala?

Oof. Brad Guzan has had a terrible season for Aston Villa and this is just the latest proof. With his side anchored to the bottom of the Premier League table, Guzan won back his starting spot after losing it midway through the season. However, he's not doing much to prove he deserves it.

This latest misstep led to a Swansea City goal and perfectly demonstrates the sticky situation that the USMNT goalkeeper battle is. First you have Guzan who is stuggling with form and confidence. Then you have the other veteran, Tim Howard, who has completely lost his job at Everton and isn't even playing at all.

Heading into two massively important World Cup qualifiers this is a major issue. Neither deserve to start, but one has to because the only back-up worth considering, Bill Hamid, is on the shelf with a long term injury. One of Tim Howard or Brad Guzan will likely start against Guatemala. Who should it be?
