The United States under-23 team play their most important match over the last four years today as the Olympic playoff with Colombia finally kicks off. The all-important first leg will set the tone for the series and it will be played in the hostile away environment of Barranqulla, Colombia.
Andi Herzog's side has struggled mightily through this cycle with finding consistency in performances and talent. An infusion of U-20 talent into the side has given them a breath of fresh air. It'll be a dogfight to try an earn a place in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Colombia is a talented soccer nation and it will likely be a very tough match-up.
