Sunderland beat Norwich City, 3-0, at Carrow Road in a massive fixture with relegation consequences. Fabio Borini, Jermain Defoe, and Duncan Watmore scored in the win.
DeAndre Yedlin started at right back and went the full 90 for Sunderland.
The young American was involved in some drama when Norwich's Robbie Brady shoved him into the advertising boards in front of the Sunderland bench. What followed was a scrum featuring Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce and Norwich substitute Cameron Jerome.

After the match, Allardyce remarked on his fight with half the Norwich bench, "I didn't know I still had that strength. I got a bit carried away, which is what happens with emotions in the game, and with such a big game."
The Black Cats are now on 30 points, one below Norwich who occupy the last "safe" spot in the EPL.
Yedlin, on loan from Tottenham, was recently praised for his play by Allardyce:
"I have to say something on DeAndre who seems to have managed the situation as a young player in the Premier League for the first time, much, much better recently, Whether that’s because there’s better players around him and they’re helping him a bit more, I’ve been really pleased with his performances at right-back... He's got pace, he can take a player on. Perhaps his final ball needs to get a bit better, but he's getting better."
Yedlin, a Seattle native with 31 national team caps, is scheduled to return to Tottenham at the end of the season.
