After seven-plus matches as a professional soccer player Jordan Morris has finally found the back of the net. The Seattle Sounders as a whole have struggled mightily in the attack this season with Morris being one of the primary focuses. The highly rated homegrown player and U.S. international finally opened his MLS account on Saturday night with this lovely first touch and finish:
Here it is. @JmoSmooth13's first goal in MLS. #SEAvPHI https://t.co/2MPAFdfIpI

It's not often you see a player score his first senior international goal before his first ever club goal, but Jordan Morris is one of these few. Perhaps he'll be the answer to a trivia question on the subject one day.
If Morris has any chance at sneaking onto the United States' Copa America roster this summer he'll need to be more consistent with his performances in the next month. A few more great goals like this probably wouldn't hurt his cause too much either. We all know the 21-year-old has buckets of talent, but the proof is in the stats and he's finally got a goal to show for all the headlines he's made of the last year.
