Peter O'Rourke of ESPN FC is reporting that U.S. youth international Kyle Scott has handed in a transfer request at Chelsea. According to a source, Scott has plenty of "top European teams showing interest."
It was reported in February that he had recently signed a new deal lasting through 2019 with the English Premier League power and featured in the squad that defeated Paris Saint-Germain to win the UEFA Youth League for the second consecutive season. The 18-year old midfielder has been with Chelsea since moving over from Southampton as a U-10 player.
Chelsea's record with transitioning youth players to the first team isn't the strongest, but incoming manager Antonio Conte is rumored to be in favor of a youth movement with his future squad.
Scott has represented the United States, England, and the Republic of Ireland at the youth international level. He recently appeared with the U.S. U-20 national team at the Stevan Vilotic Tournament in September.
