The USMNT move up to 29th in the FIFA world rankings

There's also a new #1 team in the world

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The United States men's national team have moved up one spot in the FIFA world rankings to the No. 29 spot. Despite losing to Guatemala away from home in one of their two matches in March, the USA crept up the rankings table thanks to favorable results on the front end of the results window the rankings uses.

It hasn't been a favorable 12 months for the USA in the infamous world rankings as they've fell behind both Mexico (16th) and Costa Rica (25th) to become the third ranked team in CONCACAF. And, honestly the way they've been playing, it's probably justified.

Aside from where the Americans are ranked, we have a brand new No. 1 team in the world as Argentina have taken back the spot from Belgium. Another Copa America Centenario participant, Chile, has moved up to 3rd in the rankings. It's their best position in their country's history.
