REPORT Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic eyed by Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp

Rumors, rumors, rumors.

According to Dean Jones of Bleacher Report, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping an eye on Christian Pulisic.

Transfer rumors are always nebulous, but it's fair to consider this one is realistic and plausible. Pulisic was a frequent recipient of Klopp's praise while the latter was at Dortmund. He described the 17-year old attacking midfielder as "a great footballer" who possesses "real signs of quality." It's doubtful that current manager Thomas Tuchel would be willing to let such a highly-rated young talent leave, but it's a story worth monitoring.

As always, keep the hype train from leaving the station and don't make too big a deal over these rumors. In the wise words of Stars and Stripes FC co-managing editor Rob Usry, "Sit back, enjoy this young man's skills, and hope for the best."

Pulisic is currently in his first professional season with the German club and has made seven appearances (five Bundesliga, two Europa League). He made his debut with the U.S. Men's National team on March 29th, subbing into the 4-0 win over Guatemala in the 81st minute.

Liverpool takes on Dortmund today in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals at Signal Iduna Park.
