The United States men's national team defeated Puerto Rico, 3-1, on hot and humid Sunday afternoon. It wasn't the prettiest match to watch, nor was it anywhere near a full strength USMNT side on the field. It was nothing more than a warm-up match before the main warm-up matches.
Two Americans notched their first ever international goals with Tim Ream and Paul Arriola finding the net in the win. Bobby Wood scored the third goal and the U.S. got their summer off to a winning start.
