Julian Green scored Bayern Munich's first goal in a 4-3 preseason friendly victory over fifth division club SV Lippstadt.
Here's the highlight of his "right place, right time" finish:

The 21-year old winger continued to contribute to the attack. His well placed cross forced what would be the eventual game winning own goal:

This is a key season for Green, as he'll be out of contract next summer. He made one appearance for Bayern last year, playing 62 minutes in a Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb. While he continues to dominate at the reserve level, it's unknown if he'll ever get the chance for consistent minutes in the Bundesliga.
It's been a disappointing few years for a player who burst onto the scene at the 2014 World Cup and became the youngest American to ever score in the finals. He hasn't broken through at Bayern and his loan to Hamburg during the 2014-2015 season was an unmitigated disaster.
There have been calls for Green to move away from Bayern and seek a spot elsewhere. He was linked with a move to AC Milan, but it has yet to come to fruition.
Regardless of what the future holds, this is a solid start to the season for a player that needs a good one.
