Just when you thought he was out, they pull him back in. That's right. Julian Green is once again featuring in Bayern Munich matches during the preseason. The U.S. international has started the German giant's first two preseason matches, scoring a goal in the process.

Many believed the 21-year-old's time with Bayern would inevitably come to an end after spending almost all of last season in the German fourth-division with the club's reserves. However, it appears as if Green will at least stick it out a little longer and fight for his spot and according to one of his teammates, he could have a chance to make an impact.

Following the club's 1-0 preseason win over former manager Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, Bayern defender Javi Martinez had some glowing remarks for the German-American youngster.

"[Green] is a young kid, with lots of potential, and for sure he will play well," Martinez said. "He is very fast, he battles hard, moves well and scores goals. A very dynamic player. I think that this year he will get many opportunities."

Despite appearing in a UEFA Champions League match last season, Green has never played in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich. His only five league appearances came in his very forgettable loan spell with Hamburg during the 2014-15 season.

It remains to be seen just how many chances Green could get under new manager Carlo Ancelotti, but early signs are positive. However, Bayern are still Bayern and possess some of the most talented players in the world. Playing time will be hard to come by, but it appears as if he'll at least have an opportunity this season.
