Manchester City defeated Borussia Dortmund in a penalty shootout, 6-5, after finishing regulation with one goal apiece. This international friendly is a part of the International Champions Cup being played in China.
Christian Pulisic scored (a very fortuitous goal) for Dortmund to tie the match in stoppage time.
Here's the highlight:
He also scored in the penalty shootout.
Pulisic, as you may recall, is a 17-year old midfielder from Pennsylvania who has six caps with the national team. I'm not sure if we've talked about him that much, but some people have very high hopes for his future and consider him to be a decent prospect.
There has been some discussion about how much playing time he'll receive this season, but it's important to remember that he's only 17.
There's also been some chatter about a potential transfer to Liverpool or one of the other clubs that inquire about talented teenagers. Again, he's 17 and we're going to keep things in perspective and not speculate.
But it's cool to see Americans scoring while wearing iconic jerseys/colors, isn't it?
