Fullscreen Media has put together a documentary about Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe, and Crystal Dunn as they prepare for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Here’s the trailer:
The documentary looks like it will touch on several subjects, among them the USWNT’s current "Equal Pay for Equal Play" protest against US Soccer.
It also addresses Solo’s image issues, Rapinoe’s ACL injury and race to recover in time, and Dunn being one of the few black women in high level soccer, as well as her hopes at making her first major tournament roster.
The doc looks like it followed players not just with the WNT, but also as they played with their NWSL clubs, which is always nice to see as NWSL often takes a backseat to the WNT’s visibility.
The documentary drops August 3, which is the same day that the women’s group stage kicks off at the Olympics.
