WATCH: Emerson Hyndman's first interview since joining Bournemouth

The summer transfer window is just now opening all around the world, but one prominent young American star has already found his new club. Emerson Hyndman risked a lot by refusing to sign a new contract with Fulham. He quickly capitalized on his free agent status by inking a deal with Premier League side AFC Bournemouth last month.

The 20-year-old former USMNT U-20 captain sat down with the club's official website for his first interview since joining the Cherries. Here it is for you to enjoy:

"I'm really excited to be here with such a good club and great league. Every player in England wants to play in the Premier League. For me to that opportunity, I'm just really excited," Hyndman said in the interview.

The Texas native goes on to talk about his excitement of playing for new manager Eddie Howe and his penchant for developing young players.

The club have since signed a few more young midfielders like highly-touted 19-year-old Lewis Cook. So, he'll certainly have his work cut our for him to get minutes, but that will make it all the more impressive if he does end up winning a spot.
