As we wait for any type of transfer news on DeAndre Yedlin to drop, it appears as if Tottenham Hotspur are at least planning for him to be with the club to start the season.
Today they announced their official squad numbers for the 2016-17 season. Yedlin was handed the No. 32 shirt for this season:

When Yedlin first joined Tottenham two years go, he was issued the No. 12 shirt. However, new summer signing Victor Wanyama has been given that number this season. Thus, Yedlin was given the No. 32.
Throughout his career, Yedlin has worn a few different numbers. During his rookie season in MLS, he wore his preferred No. 2 with the Sounders. Until Clint Dempsey was acquired, then he switched to No. 17. His move to Spurs gave him the aforementioned No. 12. While on loan at Sunderland he was given the No. 24 and now he’s back with Spurs for the time being with No. 32.
While with the USMNT, Yedlin has worn the No. 2 for the majority of the time.
When looking at squad numbers, the No. 32 doesn’t exactly scream “pivotal player.” — We’ll see if that’s any kind of indication of if Spurs are ready to part ways with him soon.
