The ever-evolving transfer situation of DeAndre Yedlin took another eventful turn on Sunday. The Daily Mail reports that two more clubs in England, in addition to Sunderland’s steady interest, are keen on bringing the United States international on during the transfer window.
Both Hull City and Derby County have reportedly submitted bids in the range of £3.5million for the American fullback. Yedlin is said to be looking for a move away from White Hart Lane in order to get consistent playing time.
The writing seems to be on the wall for Yedlin at Tottenham Hotspur. He’s currently the third string right back in Mauricio Pochettino’s eyes behind Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier. During the preseason, he even played a little left back for the first time in his career.
Premier League interest is nothing new for Yedlin, however this is the first time a Championship side has been in contention. It is not known how willing Yedlin would be to drop down to the second-division to get the minutes he desires.
With three teams apparently now vying for his services, his time at Spurs is likely up. Now it’s only a matter of which team will win out in the end. You’d have to think that Sunderland are the favorites at this point, considering familiarity from last season.
