Will the U.S. youth international make the move?

Bolton Wanderers have identified United States youth international and Arsenal U-21 midfielder Gedion Zelalem as a loan target according to ESPNFC.

The 19-year-old has once again been stashed away at the Gunners’ reserve team to start the season and doesn’t appear to be in Arsene Wenger’s plans for the first team any time soon.

Last season, Zelalem spent the season on loan with Rangers FC in the Scottish second division. While that club was able to earn promotion to the SPL, the highly touted prospect was in and out of the lineup on a regular basis. After being a consistent starter to begin the year, he lost his spot thanks to injury and form.

Bolton are a club a lot of American supporters know of. Former USMNT midfielder Stuart Holden spent his entire European career at the English club. However, the Wanderers have fell on hard times as of late and see themselves in League One (third division). They are now fighting to get their way back up into the Championship. Building a talented roster will help them do that and evidently they think Zelalem would be a good start to that.

What do you think of this rumor? Would you want to see Zelalem in League One?
