The United States men’s national team did what everyone expected them to do and demolished Vincy Heat. The opening 25 minutes of the match was a little sketchy, but once the U.S. finally found the net by way of a Bobby Wood curler from outside the box, it was all downhill from there.
As is customary after every match, the SSFC community gave their player ratings and the results are in.
Man of the Match: Christian Pulisic
In the least surprising result ever, the Christian Pulisic hype train cannot be stopped as he was voted as the USMNT’s best player against Vincy Heat. In only 25 minutes played, he racked up two goals and an assist. “BUT IT WAS ONLY ST. VINCENT!!!1!” — Yeah, whatever. The kid is good. It’s time to just accept that. He was a difference maker in this match just like he’s been several times in one of the best leagues in the world. There’s no reason to blame poor competition when he’s proven it against much better. He’s the real deal.
