The United States men’s national team finally clinched a spot in the Hex on Tuesday night with a convincing 4-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in Jacksonville. After a slow start to the match, the U.S. turned on the jets and left the Soca Warriors in their dust with some very attractive play in the second half.
After tallying the SSFC community’s post-match ratings, it was a close result but there can only be one winner:
Man of the Match: Christian Pulisic
The man (kid) of the moment, Christian Pulisic (8.82), takes top honors in this match once again, making it 2 for 2 in these World Cup qualifiers. He edged out Jozy Altidore (8.60) but just two tenths of a point. Jozy had two nice goals, one of them being assisted by Pulisic. Both were very influential in the attack on the night. However, it was the youngster who won out on the fan vote.
