One of the biggest moves during the winter transfer moves involving American players was Emerson Hyndman being loaned by Bournemouth to Rangers. The U.S. international found it very difficult to break into the first team since signing with the Cherries on a free during the Summer.
In his first match with Rangers, Hyndman has made an instant impact. Coming on as a second half substitute in the 70th minute, the Texas native set up the match-winning goal in the 90th minute in 2-1 win over Motherwell:

Latching onto a loose ball, Hyndman threaded a perfect pass behind the backline for Kenny Miller to run onto and finish to give Rangers the dramatic win. What a moment for the 20-year-old midfielder. After the match, he drew rave reviews from the Rangers supporters.
Next week get Waghorn and Hyndman starting. Hyndman looks good on the ball and Waggy has been playing better lately.

Took hyndman 20 minutes to split the defence with a pass still waiting on holt doing that and he's been here a year and a half

It’s a dream beginning for Hyndman at his new club. Now it’s important for him to build off that success and find a consistent spot with the club whether it’s continuing on as an impact sub or in the starting lineup.
