Joshua Gatt is training with FC Nurnberg, according to the club’s official Twitter account:
In den nächsten Tagen trainiert Offensivmann Joshua #Gatt (zuletzt Molde) als Probespieler mit. Jakub #Sylvestr fehlt dagegen krank. #fcn pic.twitter.com/paGazCXorI

Der Club is currently in ninth place in the 2. Bundesliga, with 25 points from 17 matches. Nurnberg is in “winterpause” and resumes league play on January 29th against Dynamo Dresden.
Gatt is a free agent (at least, that’s what Transfermarkt tells me) after spending six injury plagued seasons with Molde in the Tippeligaen. He made six appearances last season and scored one goal. The 25-year old winger has two career caps with the U.S. national team, with the last one coming in 2013.
Gatt has always been considered a player with the potential for greater things, even if he was limited by injuries. This training (trial?) stint is worth keeping an eye on to see what comes of it. In the meantime, I’m sure someone will glean more details after speaking with Gatt, and I’ll update this post accordingly.
UPDATE:
FC Nürnberg spokesperson tells me Josh Gatt is on trial thru "at least Friday." Coach will then determine if he plays in Saturday's friendly
