Last year the biggest and best story surrounding U.S. Soccer had to be the amazing rise of Christian Pulisic up the Borussia Dortmund ranks all the way to the first team at just 17 years of age.
Well, 2017 is looking pretty good for the Pennsylvania youngster too. In Dortmund’s first winter break friendly against PSV in Spain, Pulisic netted a goal in a 4-1 win.
Watch a clip of the well-taken goal here:
Pulisic started the match on the bench but came on to add the capper on the day with a lovely toe-poked finish that flew past the goalkeeper.
The USMNT phenom has two goals in the Bundesliga this season so far as Dortmund sit at sixth in the table heading into the second half.
As with all friendlies, this goal means next to nothing, but hopefully it can give him a little confidence boost when the club return to competitive action on January 21st.
