SheBelieves 2018 details announced

US Soccer has announced the details for 2018’s SheBelieves tournament, bringing back opponents Germany, France, and England for a third time for a series of doubleheaders. The US schedule is as follows:

USA vs France at Red Bell will hopefully not imitate its predecessor game from 2017 when the United States played England in 20-degree weather in Harrison. Locations are more spread around this year, including a nice warm trip down to Orlando, instead of staying in the Northeast at the tail end of winter.

This will be a chance for the USWNT to exorcise the memories from the last SheBelieves, which featured them coming in dead last in their own mini-tournament and losing to England for the first time since 2011. The team will also be looking to see if players like Rose Lavelle and Morgan Brian will be fully healthy and available, and perhaps Jill Ellis will sprinkle in a few youth players, although surely she’ll be under some pressure to win this time with last year firmly in mind.

Tickets go on sale January 11.
