US Soccer nominees for player of the year

US Soccer has released the nominees for best female, male, young, and disabled players of the year for 2017. They are as follows:

Best disabled player of the year:

Sean Boyle, Paralympic NT
Drew Bremer, Paralympic NT
Kevin Hensley, Paralympic NT
Michael Archer, Power Soccer NT

Best female player

Julie Ertz, Chicago Red Stars
Lindsey Horan, Portland Thorns
Samantha Mewis, North Carolina Courage
Alex Morgan, Orlando Pride
Megan Rapinoe, Seattle Reign

Best male player:

Jozy Altidore, Toronto FC
Michael Bradley, Toronto FC
Clint Dempsey, Seattle Sounders
Jordan Morris, Seattle Sounders
Christian Pulisic, Borussia Dortmund

Best young female player:

Tierna Davison, Stanford, U-20
Jaelin Howell, Real Colorado, U-19, U-20, U-23
Savannah McCaskill, South Carolina, U-23
Sophie Smith, Real Colorado, U-18, U-20, U-23
Kate Wiesner, LAFC Slammers, U-17

Best young male player:

Tyler Adams, New York Red Bulls, U-20
Luca de la Torre, Fulham, U-20
Jonathan Gonzalez, Monterrey, U-20
Erik Palmer-Brown, Sporting KC, U-20
Josh Sargent, Scott Gallagher Missouri, U-17, U-20
Tim Weah, PSG II, U-17

Winners will be announced throughout December and voting is done by NT coaches, staff, and players who have earned a cap in 2017, as well as members of the USSF Board of Directors, the Athlete Council, pro league coaches, and select college head coaches and media members. A player cannot win Best Young Player more than once.
