After about a month of training and a forgettable friendly against Serbia that ended scoreless, the United States men’s national team conclude their January camp with a second friendly versus CONCACAF rivals Jamaica.

Bruce Arena will most definitely be looking for a better performance from his team than was the case on Sunday in a dull match that saw the U.S. fail to create many chances in their first action under the new/old manager.

Both sides will be bringing makeshift rosters to the friendly in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While it’s customary for the USMNT January camp to feature a predominantly domestic-based squad, Jamaica are using this match to test some fringe players as they have been eliminated from CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. For a better idea of the squad the Reggae Boyz are bringing, check our our scouting report on them here.

The biggest question for the U.S. entering this one is which formation will Bruce decide to trot out. Will he still with the lone striker setup that didn’t quite succeed last weekend or will he switch it up and try a partnership up top like Jozy Altidore has stated he prefers? (Edit: Question answered!) This will be the last match before the USMNT continue their CONCACAF Hexagonal journey in March, so hopefully they figure some things out.

This is your match thread. We don’t have many rules. No personal insults and play nice. If you see a comment that is out of line, please report it. Otherwise, have fun and see you after the match.
