Soccer: 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying-Mexico at USA Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Manchester City and Olympique Lyonnais face down for the second leg of their home-and-away series in the Champions League semifinals. Lyon were simply too much for City in game one, resulting in a 3-1 defeat at home for the English side. Now City play away in France and will have to overcome a goal deficit in order to advance. It’s a tall order for an away team, much less one that doesn’t seem quite able to hang with Lyon’s superstar roster. Much will depend on Carli Lloyd, Kosovare Asllani, and Lucy Bronze, although City will surely be hoping for star turns from young players like Izzy Christiansen and Nikita Parris. For Lyon, all they have to do is hold on and they’re through, but you can bet Alex Morgan and Co. will be seeking more goals to put the finals totally out of reach for City.

On the men’s side, it’s an interesting weekend all around the world. Early on Saturday morning, Emerson Hyndman gets another taste of the Old Firm Derby. A little later on, the Christian Pulisic Show returns to the airwaves. On Saturday night, the pick of the MLS weekend has to be FC Dallas hosting Portland Timbers. Darlington Nagbe going head-to-head with Kellyn Acosta in the midfield should be fun to watch.
