Christian Pulisic has picked up right where he left off for Borussia Dortmund. After a fine first full season in Germany, the 18-year-old American wunderkind is back at it again early in preseason.
Pulisic put on a dominant performance in a 3-1 win over AC Milan on Tuesday in China. The U.S. international played a hand in all three of Dortmund’s goals, including recording two assists and winning a penalty for his side. The game’s first goal was scored by Nuri Sahin from outside of the box after Pulisic set him up with a simple pass across the 18. The most impressive highlight of the match was his second assist which came to Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang on a perfectly executed counter-attack:
There have been many rumors surrounding the 2016-17 Bundesliga top scorer’s future at the club, but for now he remains. Many times last season these two came close to linking up for goals with PEA wasting some nice plays by Pulisic on several occasions. It’s nice to see them finally getting on the same page. Hopefully the striker does stay as it will certainly increase Pulisic’s chances for more assists as the season gets underway next month.
Pulisic is back to playing soccer and back to doing dope things. All is right with the world once again.
