Welcome back to Pulisic & Stripes FC, your one-stop shop for all things Christian Pulisic. Today our hero followed up his impressive two-assist/penalty winning performance against AC Milan with his first goal of the preseason. However, ‘twas no ordinary goal. Most boring soccerball players score goals with their feet. Some are brave enough to do it with their head. Not our protagonist. Our young Pulisic decided to use his stomach/abs of freedom to knock in the game-tying goal against VfL Bochum.
Pulisic started once again for Dortmund, who went down 2-0 to their 2.Bundesliga opponents in the friendly. A Gonzalo Castro goal pulled a goal back for the Fighting Pulisics before the man himself scored his unorthodox goal in the 85th minute to rescue an imaginary point in the preseason standings.
With Marco Reus sidelined with an injury to begin the campaign, it’s setting up to be Pulisic’s season. Alongside fellow teenage sensation Ousmane Dembele, it could be the last season we see these two phenoms on the same side before one or both go off to a super club for a ridiculous amount of money.
