While there are still a few injuries among the Yanks Abroad, we did get some noteworthy performances over the last week. Yedlin made his return to the Premier League and contributed to a win. Miazga continues to make the best of his loan away from Chelsea. Pulisic was on the UCL stage and Gonzalez scored a winner to advance Pachuca in the Copa MX tournament.

Let’s take a quick look around the globe:

DeAndre Yedlin

Made his debut for Newcastle United in a 2-1 win over Stoke City. Great to see Yedlin in there after being sidelined with a hamstring injury. He went the full 90 adding a few interceptions & clearances along the way.

Matt Miazga

The 22 year old made two appearances last week, playing 90 minutes in Vitesse’s 2-3 loss to Lazio in the Europa League last Wednesday, then also played the entire match in a 1-1 draw with Venlo in Eredivisie league play Sunday.

Christian Pulisic

He got the start last week in the Champions League as Dortmund lost 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur. Pulisic had a couple looks at goal, he passed the ball pretty well and was credited with two key passes, but lost too many duels & aerials. The golden boy also made an appearance on the weekend in a 5-0 thrashing of Cologne, coming on in the 66’ minute for Yarmolenko.

Omar Gonzalez

Gonzalez scored the winner in the Copa MX last Tuesday as Pachuca defeated Cimarrones de Sonora 2-1. He then went all 90 minutes in a 3-1 loss on Saturday in league play.

Danny Williams

Huddersfield Town picked up another point on the weekend in a 1-1 draw with Leicester City. Williams went the distance contributing on the defensive side of the ball but he was unable to do much going forward.

Ethan Horvath

Horvath picked up another shutout for Club Brugge who defeated KV Mechelen 2-0. The 22 year old continues to play well in the first division of Belgium.

Timmy Chandler

Went the distance for Eintracht Frankfurt in a 2-1 loss to Augsburg. Not the best day for Timmy although he did play the long ball well and had 3 key passes. However, he missed the target with his shots, lost duels, and was dispossessed too easily.

Julian Green

Dude actually got a start and he went the full 90! He’s on loan from Stuttgart with Gruether Fürth who picked up a 3-1 win in the 2. Bundesliga.

Haji Wright

The 19 year old was subbed out in the 59th minute as Sandhausen searched for a winner they would eventually get to defeat Kaiserslautern 1-0.

Jorge Villafaña

He went the full 90 for Santos in a 2-1 loss at Cruz Azul.
