Bruce Arena will release his USMNT World Cup Qualifying roster tomorrow on FS1 at 3:00 p.m. during FOX Soccer’s Champions League pre-game coverage. One report has emerged tonight that has revealed a name on that roster. FOX Sports Mexico’s Ruben Rodriguez says that Jorge Villafana will be a part of the squad list for the upcoming qualifiers against Honduras and Panama.

This is a huge chance for Villafana who earned his first ever USMNT call-up and cap during the team’s annual January camp. While that camp hardly ever means anything for results, it’s huge in identifying new players for the national team manager to rely on in the future. Apparently the former Portland Timbers full-back was one who earned his spot. After waiting several years for either the USA or Mexico to come calling, he’ll finally get his chance on the big stage of World Cup qualifying for the United States. From winning a reality show to earn an MLS contract to World Cup qualifying. What a story.
