Remember when you were a kid and you could stay up all night? Like, literally just stay up to 4 a.m. watching South Park re-runs for no reason whatsoever? I used to be able to do that. I found out just how old I am when the official kickoff time for Friday night’s USMNT World Cup qualifier vs. Honduras in San Jose was revealed.

That’s right. The match won’t kick off until 10 minutes til 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time. I will stay up and watch and write about it. It’s part of the addiction of being a USMNT fan and a soccer fan in general. However, for the casual fan who might stumble upon this match and fall in love, they’ll most likely be asleep or watching Nick at Nite. It is what it is. I’m not complaining. This was just an extravagant way to tell you that the kickoff time is late and to take a nap or something on Friday to prepare.
