UPDATE: It turns out Brooks’ condition (illness) will prevent him from playing. He has been sent home along with with Sebastian Lletget (foot). In addition, Jordan Morris (ankle) and Michael Orozco (knee) have been sent home too. Paul Arriola is the lone addition to the roster so far.
Additionally, John Brooks, Sebastian Lletget, Jordan Morris and Michael Orozco have departed camp.

During the United States men’s national team’s convincing 6-0 win over Honduras in the CONCACAF Hexagonal last night two Americans left the match with injuries. Sebastian Lletget, the scorer of the match’s first goal, was brought off with a foot injury just 16 minutes in. John Brooks was stretchered off the field in the 70th minute in what looked to be a serious situation.
Thankfully, only one player appears to be out for Tuesday’s away qualifier in Panama. It turns out that John Brooks has been suffering from a sinus infection and was carted off with a dehydration problem. He should be recovered and available for the next match. (See update above)

The news on Lletget isn’t as good, unfortunately. He left Avaya Stadium last night in a walking boot after suffering a bad tackle early in the match. He’ll apparently be heading back to Los Angeles to undergo and MRI and miss out.
Sebastian Lletget is heading back to Los Angeles due to his left ankle injury. He will not appear for #USAvPAN on Tuesday. #USMNT

It’s very unfortunate for him as he was inspired for the short amount of time he was on the field, proving his inclusion in the lineup was justified. Replacing him in the lineup will be a little bit easier than it would have been trying to replace Brooks. Look for Alejandro Bedoya and/or Jermaine Jones to come in for him.
