If you turned on the TV 30 seconds after the start of the match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hannover, you were 10 seconds late for the first goal of the match. Bobby Wood struck just 20 seconds into the match to give Hannover the early 1-0 lead over ‘Gladbach.

It was his 3rd goal of the season for Hannover, who he joined on loan from Hamburger SV in July, and but his first since he had a brace for Hannover against Stuttgart back on October 6th. He also has scored 3 goals this year for the United States, including a penalty against Paraguay back in March that proved to be the game winner.
Hopefully, this is a sign of Bobby Wood gaining some confidence as the Bundesliga progresses towards their winter break, because a confident striker is what the USMNT desperately needs in 2019.
‘Gladbach scored 5 minutes after Wood’s early strike, and then just simply outclassed Hannover the rest of the way, ultimately winning 4-1.
