Josh Sargent is taking the opportunities given to him and running with them. The American teenager found the back of the net for the second time in only his third career Bundesliga appearance for Werder Bremen.
Sargent came off the bench, as he’s done in his previous two chances, and slotted home a very nice finish in the 77th minute. Check out his well taken goal:

Josh Sargent's 2nd Bundesliga goal in 3 games brings Bremen level at Leipzig! pic.twitter.com/V9xm2OZylR
At the time it was a huge goal for his side as it pulled Bremen level with RB Leipzig away from home. Unfortunately for Sargent and Bremen, they conceded a goal later in the match and went on to lose.
Nevertheless, it’s an extremely encouraging start for the St. Louis native in the Bundesliga. Hopefully with a few more successful substitute appearances, he’ll find his way into the starting lineup sooner rather than later.
With the loss, Bremen sit at mid-table with a respectable 22 points.
