The Americans playing abroad turned in some highlight reel performances over the weekend. As the season winds down, we examine where players could end up next season.

We’ve got all sorts of goals to cover from our Yanks Abroad over the past week. Romain Gall with two goals in Sweden, Jann George scored a screamer in Germany, and Christen Press picked up an impressive brace as well. Even Bobby Wood got in on the action this week! With season’s winding down we check in to see where some of our guys/gals might be playing next season.

Romain Gall
Over in Sweden, Gall picked up a brace in GIF Sundsvall’s 2-1 win over Elfsborg. He scored a penalty kick in the 7th minute and then a very nice, match winning goal in the 56th minute.

Jann-Christopher George
The 25-year-old had an absolutely sensational goal on Sunday in the 58th minute of Jahn Regensburg’s 4-1 loss at Duisburg in the second tier of Germany. It was his 7th league goal this season. Feast your eyes up on this nifty little give-and-go for a one-touch rocket to the near post. (VIDEO LINK)

Jonathan Amon
Amon scored a brilliant goal for Nordsjælland in Denmark, before his team conceded 3 goals to lose 3-1 to top of the tale Brondby IF. He steals the ball and midfield and then makes a great solo run and finish. He was subbed out in the 71st minute. Two goals and two assists on the season for the 19-year-old.

Christen Press
She is doing work in Sweden’s Damallsvenskan league as she recorded a brace over the weekend for Goteborg in a 3-1 win. Watch the two very classy goals below.

Bobby Wood
Bobby Wood scored a goal. Bobby Wood scored a goal. He scored his first Bundesliga goal since August 25th. I don’t care that it was a penalty kick, let us enjoy this. (VIDEO LINK)

Tim Ream
Fulham extended the unbeaten streak to 23 matches with a 2-1 win over last place Sunderland - who are going to the third tier! Ream went 90 minutes with 88% passing, 7 duels won, 10 clearances and 2 interceptions. Fulham are just one point back from Cardiff for automatic promotion going into the final weekend. They both play pretty lowly teams but this will be an exciting Sunday in the English Championship.

DeAndre Yedlin
His Newcastle side lost a frustrating match to the Premier League’s last place team, West Bromwich Albion. Yedlin played 90 minutes finishing with 83% passing, 2 clearances, and 3 interceptions. Newcastle are sitting in 10th place at the moment, three points behind Leicester.

Christian Pulisic
Unfortunately, Pulisic wasn’t able to build upon a great performance and connection with Jadon Sancho from the week before. He was pretty quiet in a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen where Dortmund had the chance to secure their Champion’s League ticket with a win. After 61 minutes, a 67% passing rate and no shots or crosses, he was subbed out for Andre Schürrle. (Aron Johannsson was not in the lineup for Bremen.)

Kenny Saief
Saief played all 90 minutes as Anderlecht defeated Sporting Charleroi by a final of 3-1. He picked up a yellow card in the 55th minute. They’re in a spot to play in Champions League qualifiers. Anderlecht have the option to purchase him outright at the end of the season, or send him back to Gent.

Weston McKennie
19-year-old McKennie put in a 26 minute shift for Schalke, who drew 1-1 with BBorussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday. He got 14 touches on the ball, completed 4/9 passes, but was able to add one clearance and 2 interceptions.

Matt Miazga
Miazga was subbed out in the 79th minute of Vitesse’s 5-0 shutout over FC Twente. He had picked up a yellow card and the sub was probably in response to that. He completed 88% of his passes and was once again an anchor for the back line. He has just one match remaining for his season-long loan from Chelsea, where he will return to fight for a spot or be loaned out once again.

Andrija Novakovich
He went 90 minutes for Telstar’s final match of the regular season in which they lost 1-0. They finished 6th place in the 2nd tier and now move on to “playoffs” for promotion to the Eredivisie.

Erik Palmer-Brown
Another start for EPB at Kortrijk in Belgium. He has made an appearance in four straight matches for Kortrijk, who are in the playoffs at the moment. (More in the Youth Update)

Jorge Villafaña
He went 85 minutes at left-back for Santos’ 1-0 loss at Club America.

Julian Green
Green started and went 90 minutes for Greuther Fürth’s 3-0 loss at St. Pauli. Of his four shots, three were off target, he lost ten duels and was dispossessed a couple times.

Omar Gonzalez
The Pachuca man went 90 minutes in their 0-0 draw with Atlas.

Landon Donovan
After not seeing the field for three matches, Donovan got 14 minutes in Leon’s 2-0 loss at Chivas. What is he even doing there?
